This weekend (February 22 – 24, 2019), the NYC Legal Hackathon will be taking place. The New York event is part of the Global Legal Hackathon, which is set to attract 6,000 participants across nearly 50 host cities throughout two dozen countries.
As part of its sponsorship of the NYC Legal Hackathon, LawGeex will be sharing access to its award-winning, AI-powered platform for contract review automation with participants – and will be sending our professional Geex to mentor the hacking teams.
The Global Legal Hackathon challenges technologists and legal professionals to rapidly develop solutions for improving the legal industry worldwide. The competition takes place in three stages.
In the first stage taking place this week, the 51-hour marathon begins with individuals making pitches on how to solve a problem in the legal world. Teams are then formed around the pitches, and the hacking begins. Each team presents their solution before a panel of judges, with one winning team from each location moving on to the next stage. The second stage consists of semi-finals held virtually, and the competition culminates with the top teams squaring off at the GHL 2019 Gala in New York City on May 4, 2019.
LawGeex is also pleased to be participating in the Legal Hackathon taking place in Tel Aviv February 21-22, 2019. Staff members will be mentoring teams there as well, and Ilan Admon, LawGeex CTO and Co-Founder, will be one of the judges.
